Awakening Of The Little Child Inside~

A slow walk at night after a cup of tea with my fellow hometown friends in Taman Prima Kajang, we were heading to the source of flood lights where it caught our curiosity from a far.

The moment we stepped in, the little child within awaken, and so are our child like behaviors.

We were so facinated with all the games around. The scene was so familiar, and I started to recall the last time that I had been to a Fun Fair was probably 7 or 8 years ago.

The classical Fairy Wheel

Children will love this..

People are screaming being tossed to the air..

This uncle pretty much enjoying his solo ride 360 degree in the air.
What's more, there are more games on the ground for those who prefer stay out from the tumble and rumble rides

DiGi's yellow ducklings ?? ~^_^~

The most heart warming moment that I felt was looking at families enjoying themselves together. It is such a great occasion to have their family bonding. I have seen fathers being the hero of their children, winning a couple of teddy bears and other toys for them.

The soft toys are so tempting.

And so, I remind myself if I ever have children or a spouse, this is one place that I couldn't let them down. Imagine going to a Fun Fair, only to be dissapointed not able to hug any of the teddy bear hanging on the booth, and end up empty handed on the way home, because lousy daddy or boy friend can't even win any prize from any of the games. Man, this is stressful.

So guys... start to train up... especially if they ever see this huge teddy and only to be dissapointed not able to even hold them at all..

And so, I try my luck.. RM 4 for 2 tokens. Got them to exchange for 6 rings.

To my dissapointment, I can't even get a big teddy bear. Out of 6 rings, I manage to score 3. However, it was a big improvement compare to 7 years ago, where I can't even strike 1 ~>_<~. This is what I got, just nice, 1 for me, and 2 for my sisters.

Life is full of surprises. It is just one of the fun moment that I had after a long long time..

Reach For The Stars~

A year flys for another time, I have circled the Sun for the 28th time.
Looking back at life, much has been achieved, more to be accomplished.
I am that close in reaching what I dreamed of, the things that I have, the career that i had strived to get and the life that I had gone thru.
But at times, I am still not quite sure when is the moment that I can tell myself I had touched the star in the sky and I am flying high.
Looking back at my life, back then, I always believe the moment will always come to me and I will only be happy and satisfied, when the moment arrive.
Most of the time, I have never been living in the present, just believing it is right to sacrifies now for a better future.
Years just gone by, places and faces are getting old.. how much longer do I have to wait for the moment to arrive.
If it wasnt for the figure "28" I didn't realize how much life has passed by..
How many people that I had really cared for them in my life.
Instead of looking forward, how often do I stood by and look to my left and right.
Every breath we take, is just one step closer to after life.
How long do I still have to wait the "Right Moment" to arrive..
"Life just got interesting" - this is the statement I reiterate to myself from time to time To remind myself stop waiting but start to cherish life.
And so.. with my journal, ready to set sail and follow the flow of life.
To places probably that I had never known in my mind.
Isn't fabulous, the world is so big just to be witness with our eyes.
Paradise is just a state of mind.
Enjoy the Experience of the journey and not until the end of life..
Life just got interesting .. Life just got interesting .. Life just got interesting~

My Mini Bumblebee

Just a couple of days after watching Transformers 2, I went over to Petronas station to get my mini Bumblebee which was started selling from 26th of June. Being a Transformers fan eversince I was a kid, this is probably my 1st Transformers toy.

Selling at RM15.90, it looks rather pricey at first. But since its a copyrighted product, I think the price is pretty reasonable.

I remember watching Transformers cartoon when I was a kid, Bumblebee was actually a Volkswagen Beetle in yellow. Now most of the vehicles in this movie are American brand automobiles like Chevrolet and GMC.

So, our Bumblebee now is a 5th Generation Chevrolet Camaro. The yellow theme still maintain and added with black straps.

The mechanism in transforming from Autobots to a Camaro and vice-versa is rather simple. Only 3 steps to transform Bumblebee to Chevy: contract the legs, lift the bonnet and fold the arms.

The next one to grab will be Starscream which selling starting from 4th July. Optimus Prime and Megatron will come much more later, probably by mid of this month.

Transformers - Revenge Of The Fallen

Actually I was one of the very FIRST few Malaysians that had watched this movie for the first time in local cinemas... Hehe.. Glad to know this friend (nick name "airasia" :p) and thank her for giving us FREE Movie Premiere Tickets that she got from United International Picturers.

This is one of the Biggest movie ticket that I have ever seen. The screening was supposed to start from 24th June, but the Premiere was on 23rd June. Arriving at Sunway Pyramid on that day with much anticipation after watching the 1st episode 2 years ago. The intense advertising around as well as the movie trailer had also increased our anticipation looking forward to watch this movie..

I am just gonna spare the details as it is better to leave to the fans to watch for themselves and anticipate the unexpected. If you think the scenes in the trailer are the highlights, then you have not seen climate of the entire movie yet.. Simply awesome.

What I like about movie premiere is that the audience are die hard fans of Transformers. They will just laugh their lungs out, clapping and cheering all the way in the entire course of the movie. Its an entire different admosphere compare to other movies that I had watched. Especially when Optimus Prime combined with Jet Fire and took off to the sky, the scene and story line is so overwhelming that everyone just clapping and cheering out loud in the cinema. I got overwhelmed myself as well.. "A flying Optimus Prime !!!" (opps.. too much details there).

Verdict?? Great. Probably the best movie so far for this year. Just that its kind of weird they included quite amount of dirty jokes and scenes in this movie. Decepticons actually have balls dangling underneath. So do they reproduce like mammals??

Looking at the ending of the movie, there is definately a Transformers 3 coming. Not sure how long we have to wait for the next one (maybe after 2 years) and hopefully Micheal Bay will throw more surprises to us just like what he did for the first 2 episodes.

Oris - My 1st Automatic

June 2009 - Having a Swiss made watch was always in my "wanted list". And finally, I decided to go for it this month. Although having an Oris watch was not my 1st choice, but it turns out to be my best one :).

Wondering around Sunway Pyramid, I was determined to get a TAG Heuer from Watatime. However, with my budget, I am only able to get a TAG Heuer Formula 1 Series Chronograph. It turned me down because it is running on quartz and the dial with huge numbering looks abit "toyish" (sorry if I had offended any TAG Heuer fans out there).

There is another shop call The Moment (part of City Chain) in Sunway Pyramid display a range of Swiss made watches as well as Seiko. I was spoilt between a wide ranges of Automatic watches with different brands. The more establish ones like Tissot, Longines, Seiko and Oris. As I was looking for a Swiss made watch, I narrowed down my options to Tissot and Oris. At last, my heart tells me to put my money on Oris Williams Formula One Day Date 2008.

Oris watches are pretty well known and its success comes from their strong branding and image that are often associated with Formula 1. Oris is also famous for being the watch manufacturer that ONLY produces Automatic (also known as Mechanical) watches.

The main difference between an Automatic watches and Quartz watches is that the former uses hairspring to provide the oscillation for the watch where the later uses Quartz crystal and electric field to move the hour, minute and second hands.

On top of that, Automatic watches have much more complex mechanism and movement which consist of springs, gears and jewels. Jewels such as Ruby are used as axial for gears to reduce friction.

My Oris Williams Formula One Day Date 2008

The watch has a simple facade. It comes in black dial with the usual hour, minute and second hands, plus day and date indicator. No complex Chronograph nor Tachymeter around the dial. The top glass is made of Sapphire (anti-scratch) with anti-reflective coating inside.

The black strap is made of black rubber. The pattern on the black strap was designed in such a way that looks like the groove tire on a Formula One car. Believe it or not, you can actually smell the Vanilla flavor on the strap, and the smell still last till today.

A stainless steel folding clasp is included. This kind of clasp is good to prevent the watch from slipping off your hand.

The RED rotor behind the watch is also another signature trademark for Oris. Oris had registered trademark for the red rotor as well as the wording around the rotor:" Swiss Made ORIS High Mech".

So, the next time when you see someone wearing an Oris, you know it is an Automatic watch :)

There is no battery needed for Automatic watches. The movement from one's hand rotates the rotor behind. The rotor will then convert the energy to mechanical energy which then store in a spring. Other energy generating method is by winding the crown 20 times each day to its maximum capacity. However, the energy stored is not sufficient to last for few days if the watch is being left aside, some only last for 2 days, some only 1. For this model, the power reserve duration is 38 hours.

Water Resistance up to 10 bars, in layman term - 100 meters or 328ft below water (However, NEVER NEVER NEVER bring it for a swim).
Oris uses number to represent the movement for each product. For this watch, the movement number is Oris 635 with 25 Jewels.

Another interesting feature about automatic watch is that the "second" needle movement is rather smooth as compared to quartz watches. The needle movement in quartz watches is discrete and moves once every second. The needle in automatic watches moves once in every 0.1 seconds, thus the movement seems like continuous with no pause in between. The "ticking" sound in automatic watch is rather subtle and quick since it is ticking every 0.1 second. Sometimes, I just adore listening to "heart beat" of my watch :).

Between quartz watches and automatic watches, sadly to say that automatic watches have the least persistency and accuracy as compare to quartz watches despite paying a couple of thousands more. It has proven that quartz watches have better resilient to temperature change and mechanical movement while automatic watches are easily influenced by these 2 properties. However, manufacturer had also given a guarantee of +5/-30 second of accuracy per-day.

Conclusion

After wearing it for the past 2 weeks, it seems no problem at all. Time keeping is still good, probably off by couple of seconds, but still toleratable. The facade is stylist and the black dial with black rubber strap suits the theme well for being luxury and sporty at the sametime. It has caught a couple of attention lately, mainly by those who are watch enthusiasts.
